Control over the implementation of the Public Finance Act and regulations covering management of state budget funds is performed by the ministry responsible for finance.

Inspection control is performed by budget inspectors as officials with special authorization within the ministry responsible for finance. In performing the tasks of budget inspection, the budget inspector is independent; he/she draws up reports of the inspection performed, issues decisions in the administrative procedure and orders other measures in accordance with his/her authorization. The budget inspector also examines any notification, appeal, communication and other issue within his/her responsibilities, and, upon request, informs the person who has submitted it on the action taken.
